Martha's Birthday

We had a great meal last night with Georgie, Austin, Martha, Dennis, and Dot at Sarducci's to celebrate Martha's fifty something birthday. I got to see Austins new glasses. I think that he has been spending to much time with Penny, cause they are starting to look alike. The food was great, along with Georgie's carrot cake that we had for desert. A good part for the conversion revolved around the waiter, which the girls and Austin thought to be very attractive.  He didn't do much for me. Austin and Dot both have birthdays that end in zero this year and it sounds like we are going to have a joint celebration for the both of them.  Georgie and I are very lucky to have such good friends.

So What

The wisdom of to day is to not take what others say as being the truth. Hear say can be a very bad thing when it is allow to run its own course without any intervention. Tonight I welcomed a person into my home that the rumors have make into someone that he was not. I am very glad that I had to chance to intervene an come to my own opinion.

A guy and his monkey walk into a bar. The guy sits down at the bar while his monkey heads off for the pool table. He jumps on the table, grabs the cue ball and swallows it. The bartender throws them both out onto the street, barring them from his establishment for two weeks.

Two weeks later, the guy and his monkey walk into the bar. The guys sits down at the bar with his monkey next to him. The monkey grabs the jar of olives, twists off the lid, stuffs an olive up his butt, then pops it in his mouth. Just before the bartender throws them both out onto the street again, he asks the guy "What's the problem with your monkey?" The guy answers "Well, ever since he swallowed that cue ball, he measures everything first!"

OK its time to get ready for our family gift exchange. We will be doing a Yankee Swap and here are the rules.

Each person that wants to participate will bring a wrapped gift with a value under $50.00. The gift will have a tag with the name of the person that brought the gift.

After person #1 has opened their gift, person #2 can either take the gift that person #1 has opened or select another gift from the grouping. If person #2 has taken the gift from person #1, #1 is now to take another gift from the grouping and open it. If person #2 has selected from the pile, it is now person #3's turn. Person #3 can take a gift from the grouping or take the gift that either #1 or #2 has opened. This will continue until all of the gifts have been distributed.

Pyrotechnic fountains reportedly started fire; stampede led to ‘mass death
some people are just idiots and in this case we have a collection of them. Why would anyone set off pyrotechnics inside of a crowded night club? Haven't we learned from these same mistakes? I can't imagine the horror that those people suffered. Come on people lets "shake off" that stupidity.

snow finally snow and no rain. We just might have a white christmas!! I think this is the latest I can remember of not getting measurable snow. It will be nice to have the ground covered. I would much rather have green grass, but if its going to be cold we might as well have snow.
